Happy Halloween from Argy

Top of the muffin to you all!
It is a great warm day outside. Where there may not even be a cloud in the sky, allegedly haha. Hope it's not too cold up North haha.

Also Happy Halloween!
They kinda do it here, I think haha, They have a lil section in wal mart for masks and stuff so i guess it exists here. We also saw some trick or treaters yesterday. idk why they were out since it was a day early, but hey, the early bird gets the worm right haha.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention that I'm writing this a lil early today cuz my comp (District Leader) is going to Bahia Blanca for a few days for some leadership meetings. He'll get back I think Wed night. It's also sweet cuz I believe I'll be with Elder Stott from Highland UT. He only has one full transfer in so he's one behind me...it's going to be so cool being a Sr comp for a few days in the middle of Argy world where we know some of the language haha. I'm actually pretty excited cuz we both are in the same position and so we'll grow together these next few days. I think he may be a bit homesick, so I'll try and have a good time with him and cheer him up.

My Espñ is going gr8! It's really improved this week a lot. I can be in lessons and get more of what was being said. I can talk better more. Talking all espñ in the street helps sooo much. Yo siento mucho mejor con espñ esta semana haha. We are teaching a teen probably 17- 18 yrs and during the lesson, Jesus asked my comp if he had kids and my comp was like, ¨yeah¨ and since my espñ listening has gotten better I thought, "Did I hear that right?" Then my comp realized what Jesus was saying and then comp was like, "Oh no no I don't have kids.¨ It was funny! I was trying not to laugh during the lesson a few minutes after that haha. And also in the same lesson we were explaining the sacrament and how water represents the blood of Jesus Christ and Jesus(the inv) was like,  ¨You guys drink blood?¨ hahahaha It was a lesson where the comunication level wasn't gr8 hahaha.

We had splits on Tuesday and I was with Elder Perez from Mexico. But he also lived in So. Carolina for 4 yrs so he knows Engish. It was cool, I could say everything I needed to say to him with some Eng words here and there. It was awesome!! haha We also were going to ask this man for some directions, then tie into something about the gospel. When Elder Perez was approaching him and Perez said, "Hola"  it was hilarious the guy immediately grabs his shoulder like he got shot or something and was like, "Aw eh," or something in Espñ and he kept walking. He totally pulled a Tom Jones and played hurt out of no where so we didn't have to talk to him hahaha. We also taught Alexis, the 17 yr, old guy. We talked about the Book of Mormon and prayer and it went well! We tried other times in the week but he wasn't there.

On Saturday went went tracking with a 23yr old member named Cesear. He was converted 4 yrs ago and he's about to put in his paper. He's the only member in his fam and he's awesome! Such a strong testimony and is goin to be a gr8 missionary. We taught a bum in the street, but the bum didn't really want to have much to do with the church after talking with him for like 40 min which seemd like forever. Hopefully Cesear goes to Utah on his mission. We live in (I have no idea what Mission it is lol, SLC S. idk lol)

I gave the closing prayer in church yesterday in sacrament meeting. One of the counselors in the bishopric asked me to do it b4 the meeting. And I guess in the meeting he announced that some sister in the ward was going to say the closing prayer, but I had no idea, so you know I go up and say the prayer. When I went back my comp was like they announced that this lady was going to do it haha. So I bet everyone was a lil confused when the american missionary who doesn't know much espñ stood up and started heading towards the pulpit hahahaha. I'm glad my comp didn't tell me or anything hahaha jk comp is a capo.

The former missionaries and current missionaries in our ward will be singing Called to Serve on November 20th for some primary program. So you know what that means! I'm getting my Michael Jackson vocals ready. I think this will be a gr8 step in my music career. I'm ready for it haha :) chiste chiste

Went to Laprida. Taught some lessons (its bout 1h 15 min away). Lessons were pretty good. We're still testing it out there for future missionaries. We went with the Elderly couple the Fee´s. Elder Fee has been to every state and 19 countries. Daaaang if I ever get lost in the world I hope he's on my right side haha.

Was talking with a member and he had a cool shirt in espñ. I could understand it all up to halfway down his shirt. I stopped cuz i didn't want to look weird, just staring at his shirt hahaa. It was bout 20 to 30 words i read. I felt soo good about it. espñ is making some gr8 steps!

Next week comp and I are goin to Centro to go Christmas shopping. Oh and i got some money out. Thanks. Thank Sister Madson for the money. Also you're awesome! Thanks for the letter Lonnie! It was great, I really enjoyed it.

Church is true, keep being awesome and choosing the right! Have faith and don't give up!

Have a great Halloween and watch some scary movie...it's weird, it doesn't even feel like halloween cuz its warm, but yeah.

Elections in Argentina!

Basketball!!  (Notice the the person on the Gatorade - Manu!!)

Buenaaas!
Happy Birthday again mom. I have to say it again cuz your Bday was in the middle of the week haha FELIZ CUMPLE!
All is terrific here! The weather is getting warmer and warmer!

There were elections yesterday, so we had 1 hr of church, but it lasted 1hr 15min cuz there were 2 speakers who gave like 30 min talks. haha. One old man, maybe 80 or 90, gave a talk and he was talking about hymns and he started to say the words to the song ¨tengo gozo en mi alma hoy¨ in eng ¨there is sunshine in my soul today¨ and then he started to sing it haha. It was awesome this old man singing away. He only did a lil bit, but it was great haha!
It's a law for every citizen above the age 18 to vote, so that is why there was a lot of voters like 70%.
So Christina won. Yeah her signs are all over the place. And it's funny cuz all of the running presidents who are trying to make this country better always make it worse with all their fliers and posters cuz a lot of it ends up as garbage in the street. The other day we were knocking a door and I was watching the workers, who hand out fliers at each door, ¨vote Christina¨ stuff and they just throw it in front of the house and sometimes they give like 2 to 3 to a door. Its funny!
A popular dish in Argentina
This last week I read the letter from Nancy and Kevin Duncan. The one they gave to the new missionaries. And I read the 10 parts of it and a thing that comp and I are doing now from that is contact 10 people a day, personal 20 total. That is great i love it and it helps!
We were doing that and knocked a house of a women, Natalia, low 30s and we gave her a lesson at the door and she seemed like a good inv. Also, went by another house a women low 20´s and taught her in her door. Comp and I will say, "Do you have 5 min so we can talk about gospel?" If they say yes it always seems to average bout 20 min cuz people do get interested and they listen to us. We taught a teenage boy, 17 named Alexis yesterday and he seems like another good inv. We have an appointment today with him. He's a smily 17 yr old and seems like a good kid. Future missionary aye! haha We taught Eileen and Luis and her Boyfriend. At 1st it was just her and her boyfriend, then Luis came home. He was High on drugs. He came and sat with us and he would just stare at the top of the wall like he's in the zone and then he'd start laughing and also he'd walk to the corner of the house to go into the kitchen and then he'd come right back and sit down. One time he was also staring at me for like 3 min straight. lol It was a lil funny cuz he was so out of it. But at the same time it's sad. So don't do drugs kids. It was a good lesson. I hope they do their part and read the Book of Mormon and pray.
Got a reference for a man who has a family of 7. His lil son is friends with a member. His son and him went to his son's friends baptism and that made him interested. We taught him yesterday. He's one of those guys, ¨Oh yeah, I've listened to a lil of every religion" but doesn't have a set one. We really hope all goes well with him. His son's name who went to the baptism is Nachoooooooooo!!  No joke haha I was smiling when his lil bro would call his name haha. Adrian Gonzalez, we haven't taught him since last Sat cuz he's never home, but we keep trying!
Horse Meat
On Tuesdays we go with the Elder and Hna Fee, the elderly couple, to Laprida which is bout an hour & 15 min from our house, but still technically in our boundaries. We are kinda testing it out there to see if the interest of the gospel is there to know if President should put some missionaries there some day. The drive there is like this________ flat hahaha just a bunch of fields, some trees. It's crazy and sometimes it hurts my eyes lol. I'm going to take my camera tomorrow and take some pics cuz it's so weird haha.

Comp and I played BBALL today! It felt soooo good! My shot was kinda good. It has been almost 3 months since I've actually played, so my game was a lil ¨eh¨ but thats alright. I'm happy with my form tho.
BASKETBALL!!!  (Or just "basket" in Argentina)
They do have Halloween here. I just don't know if kids actually go door to door. If so we'll defiantly pass out B o M´s hahaha. It's spiritual candy and the taste lasts forever. haha
I also don't need any colored pencils for scriptures, I bought some in the mtc, but thanks.
Yeah yeah Sub thats awesome being on varsity I'm going to guarantee you´ll play, I'm guaranteeing it right now!  So be ready :) yeah and what number are you wearing better be the tres uno hahaha jk congrats to Jodi and Sim thats awesome!
V thats sweet you're getting Braces!

It was funny yesterday we walked by a street and some drunks were yelling, ¨Spies of Bush¨ haha ¨Return to your country¨ funny.

Espñ is doing alright. Still needs work. I can understand what's being talked bout more. In district meetings and stuff I have really tried to do what Michael Sorensen gave me advice to do, which is to really try and listen. It could be soo easy to get distracted and not listen cuz you don't know what they're saying, but since I'm really trying my espñ is better. So thanks Michael it helps a ton!

I read Chalo's email and I understood most of it or what he was trying to say. Thanks that's awesome!

Its cool, lately I've been doing great not thinking bout Babylon and stuff like that. I feel different and better. Also, I am really loving sharing the gospel. It brings me joy! Just seeing Alicia this past week and she's doing awesome with not smoking and everything. She says she feels better and sometimes when she gets cravings to smoke she walks, so she's awesome. Also, Melanie seems to have become more interested in the church since being baptized. It's amazing seeing the results before and after Baptism even just seeing them you can tell there's something different with them! amazing!

Well everyone keep being Capos and keep choosing the right

Glad to be staying in Olavarria with same Comp!

Happy Birthday mom this week and also Happy Mothers day!! haha yeah it was mothers day yesterday lol. That was a lil weird having it in Oct. I got you a card. It should be to you in 2 weeks or whatever!

I am reporting from Olavarria, so I'm still here for another transfer! I'm pretty excited about it. I love it here. It is growing on to me, and plus my comp is a capo! So I'm glad I'm here (still have same comp).

We baptized Alicia on Saturday! She quit smoking on Monday and hasn't smoked since. She is a strong person like spiritually and stuff. My comp baptized her and confirmed her as well! Now we will be trying to work with her two daughters. Comp and I feel like they will be good investigators soon. We haven't taught them, but we both feel that one day they'll be baptized, just one of those feelings kinda things.

It's starting to warm up a lil. It's still a lil bit cool to me. I'm excited to try out this humidity thing hahah. Everyone I think I've ever talked to says they hate it haha.

Espñ is doing pretty good. I actually had a dream last night that dad and gma merlyn and chalo were speaking in espñ. So that is my 1st dream in espñ! I did also do that lesson in district meeting in espñ but I mostly read from BoM. It helps to have a great memory in learning a language cuz what I do is learn a word then say it in a sentence. Maybe think about it for a few min and then it's in my head. I'm thankful for that gift, instead of having to write it down i just remember it. It's a great blessing!

Yesterday at sacrament meeting some Dominican Republic man spoke and he had a different accent and he talked soooo much slower then anyone here. It was great!
Also, yesterday we attended (dang it i forgot how to say that in eng) someone and it was a referral that we got from the other elders. Eileen, a 16 year old and her bro Luis and  then her boyfriend showed up and we taught the 3 of them. Eileen is interested but is still trying to get over the Joseph Smith prophet thing and BoM. Her bro is lil interested. He likes to smoke. It was funny, his sis wouldn't let him smoke in the house cuz we were there, so he just sat there with the cigarette in his mouth, like come on let me smoke. And then her boyfriend showed up and he seemed to understand everything well. He was teaching her after he understood something it was great. After I asked my comp if that lesson counted as a lesson with a member cuz they had Blades of Glory playing with John Heder in the backgroung lol.

This coming weekend, on Sunday, we'll have an hour for church cuz of elections again I guess. And now I'm done with the 12 week new missionary program (where you study personal an hour, then 2hrs comp, then language in the morning starting at 8) so now we can start going out at like 11:00 or 10:30 instead of 12:30 or later cuz lunch sometimes.

Also, here its cool sometimes they go by the 24 hr clock like right now its 18:07 and for the date they do it backwards today is 17/10/11.

Also, we went back to the tent people. This time we taught the brother and then his aunt or some lady, then the bro's sister (yeah idk who they are all related lol). It went well. She is evangelical and when i prayed at the end, she was like praying aloud, quietly to herself cuz i guess that what evangelicals do haha. So I was like why is she mumbling to herself while I'm praying haha. We also talked about prophets and she was like yeah see that girl (who's like 5) she's a prophet haha.

We also taught Adrian Gonzalez. He's been an inv for a while, but we haven't been able to find him. He likes the church, I think he just needs to be dedicated to it. My comp kept giving him scriptures and he kept trying to find paper that he could mark the scripts with, so he can read them later, so that was good to see. Also, during it he had music on and the usa music that some people listen to here. It is like weird 80s rock or madonna weird stuff. It's funny cuz they don't even understand it, they just like the beat.

Today we had planned to borrow Joaquinn Gallis bball and go play some ball, but his cousin, I guess, forgot to give it to us (cuz he had Joaquinn's ball). So I almost got to play today but watever. He did get my hopes up though lol next week.

This week we also went to some less actives houses and talked to them. One lady asked us if we believed in planets. We were like yes and then she went on to say how she is scared of the planets. She is a lil crazy and we kept inviting her to start to pray and read the BoM and how that will help her but she doesn't really do that stuff. Also this week we went to a less active man and he started saying how the Chinese are putting metal parts in people when they do surgery and how the people will become robots and how the world will be taken over by robots. hahahaha these are real people. I can't believe they actually believe that stuff. We'll keep working with them  and help them.

It was cool, one of the teenagers I see in the street sometimes is in here and when we walked in he yelled, "Fight!" haha cuz thats one of the words Elder Thomas and I taught him.

I'm going to finish the Book of Mormon tomorrow! I've been thru it one and a half times on the mish (I was in Alma 58 when I started Mish). Do you have any tricks for marking scripts or stuff? I'm not good at just pulling scripts out of nowhere about baptism and stuff, or the restoration. What happens to me is, I just read and I forget to check where I'm at in the book lol. For example I'll be in Alma 12 then wow I'm in ch 23. I guess I need to pay more attention to where I'm at lol.

Go Utes and Packers and A. Smith and Steve Smith and Panthers and Mike Vick.

Once again happy Birthday mom Felice Cumple, I wish I could write that in front of our house(UT) in the street with graffiti cuz thats what they do here, all over the street when somone has a bday haha.

Love u all

hmm I don't know what I want for christmas. I guess you can surprise me. You're always good at that!

Teaching in a tent!

Hola everyone out there! all is good here!

This week went really well!! Comp and I kind of made it a goal to talk to more people in the streets and stuff. So we did that and we could really see big results from that.

We were walking one day and we talked to this lady outside of a kiosco (a lil store) u know trying to talk to more people and she was interested and told us to come by later in the week. So we did and we knocked at her door and as we did that, her bro pulled up and said she wasn't home and to come by again. But then we went around their house to take a short cut and we saw her outside by this tent. She told us to come inside and we can talk to her family as well. Now this tent thing was like 40 feet wide and bout 10 to 20 ft high and it was a lil weird cuz they had some beds set up and a tv so it looked like they were going to have a party. Also on the side inside the tent they were cutting open a pig lol the pig was all clean and stuff no guts just the meat part lol. Alyssa probably would have thrown up bahaha..Anyways we started to talk to this lady that we met the other day at the lil store and her dad was listening too. They both seemed interested. There was also bout 15 other family members in this tent, but the only ones that listened to us was the girl and dad. Then a truck pulled up with 4 men. We think bros of the dad and one of them asked us what we believe in..they arrived at the end of our lesson with the girl.. so we kinda taught the men all over again. We got like 8 new investigators out of that visit and were going to meet with them again this week.

Also, Alicia our investigator has a baptismal date for this Saturday!! We went by her house yesterday and when we asked her if she wanted to get baptized Saturday she started laughing and we couldn't tell if she was going to say no or yes, but then she pretty much said yes of course. We kinda surprised her that we could baptize her this Saturday. She said she has known the church is true ever since Elder Thomas and I taught her about the plan of salvation, and she said she always wants to feel the spirit!! The problem with her is that she smokes and so we need to teach her bout that and she has some doubts bout tithing so we need to teach her bout that too. But so far she's been very acceptive to the gospel so i don't think that she'll have many problems!!

Since comp and I have been speaking only in Spanish in the street (they actually made that a mission rule now, only espñ in street and when you're with 3 or more missionaries) my espñ has improved a ton. On our way to a 30 min walk lunch I gave my comp the 1st lesson in espñ. Obviously I didn't talk a whole ton bout it cuz I'm still learning, but i did what i could, it was pretty cool. Also, yesterday at sacrament meeting I was able to get sentences out and understand a lot of what people were saying. It's pretty sweet lol

Hey do we have that Mother Teresa quote at home where she says its not between you and people its just between you and the lord? If you still have that on the side of the fridge could you email it to me that quote cuz I like it and I actually think it could help investigators. gracias

This week we did some door knocking in an area we don't go to alot and its all dirt roads and open fields with some trees haha its pretty cool i think..no mountains haha.

In district meeting I gave a lil lesson about how we can baptize thousands of people like Ammon, Aaron, etc from the Book of Mormon. I said with God, faith and the spirit, we can do it! That has been on my mind a lot (how they were able to bapt a ton ) and I can just imagine them talking to everyone in the street and it also said how they taught with the spirit so that kinda sparked comp and I to try to talk to everyone. Cuz I think its is totally possible to get a lot of baptisms. I don't just want to baptize a lot for the big numbers I want to convert and bring people to Christ. Cuz if you think about it we see a ton of people each day and a lot of them are probably ready for baptism, we just need to open our mouth.

Showed some members some of the pics you sent me and they saw the one of Scott and Clayton and they asked me if Scott is funny just from seeing that pic haha i started to laugh and said "si" haha. Also they asked me if mom was one of my sisters. They were like oh thats your mom haha.

Still need to find a card for you mom. We didn't have time today cuz we shopped this morning (they have no cards at wal mart) then went to lunch with all our district at the Fee´s house (the elderly couple) and then it was siesta time after and plus its some holiday today so most of the stores are closed. So for sure next week mom l'll send that card for you haha.

Is there anything I want for Christmas? I think I'm pretty good with stuff lol I wont mind the gift of tongues hahahahha.
The sports updates aren't really distracting. I've been doing alot better this week. Not thinking bout bball, sports etc. So if you think it'll be distracting for me then you don't have to tell me whats goin on. But they aren't that distracting as much now so your fine if you send them.
Dad who is the principal where you work? Did you say you work at some place in tooele where all students from the 3 schools go to? Or do you work at THS and students just meet there. And nice work on the survey thing! Hey V thats pretty crazy how you had that needle in you! wow! It's also sweet how everyone knows you now from it.

My health is doing better not sick anymore!

My 2nd transfer in arg is almost over it ends this week. Wow time flies! i could be out of Olavaria. I don't think I will be, but who knows. It kinda reminds me of trade deadline day in the NBA. You just get a call on Friday and they tell you where your going if your going somewhere and then you leave to your new place on Sunday I'll  try not to make it make me think to much of NBA trade deadline day lol. But I think Olavarria has interest in me for one more transfer at least or I may get traded to Bahia. Who knows lol.

Thanks for all i love u all

General Conference in Argentina!

¨Hello!!¨ President Monson style hahahhaha

That man is amazing, haha he's so awesome and so funny haha.

I enjoyed conf this weekend! It was awesome!! I listened to all of it in English except for the very 1st talk in espñ by Elder Scott which was translated by him in espñ by the way. He knows espñ. That got me wondering if Kevin did his talk in espñ too or did they have the translators do it for him. They set up a little room for 6 of us elders to listen to it in English. Hermana (Sis) Fee was there and 2 other Argy girls that know Eng. I really enjoyed Pres. Uchtdorf's talk and I also liked Elder Ardern, that british accent chap, about spending your time wisely. Did anyone else think he had the sultriest tones known to man? haha I love his voice. I loved all the talks. Can't wait til they come out in the Liahona. I  also loved Barbara Thompson from Sat morning about personal revelation.

Conference started at 1pm to 3 then 5pm to 7. The priesthood session was at 9 to 11. But because we can't stay up that late we watched it Sunday morning at 10 am. It was all in espñ..ugh. My favorite part though, was when Pres. Monson was moving back and forth and around like he's on a bus. (I think that's what it's about cuz I heard him say bus in English over the espñ translator.) So that was probably my favorite talk hahah since I have no idea what anyone else talked about. haha The translator talked pretty fast hñrgjñagrhgrhgjrkrg and so I don't know what the priesthood session was bout. I'll just wait for the Liahona for the talks haha.

I love what they're doing with the new temples. Elder Fee, one of the elderly missionary couples, served in Paris and he and his wife served in Africa. So it was a great day especially for him. 3 new temples on the same day where he's served. Hna Fee about jumped out the roof when they announced the african temple. I can't wait til they call a temple here in Bahia Blanca!!!! My goal is to be serving here when they call it!! We may need some more members around Bahia Area, but as Luke 1:37 always says, "For with God nothing shall be impossible!" So with that on my mind, and determination, why can't we get a temple while I'm here? I have what, 3 more chances? Thats my goal!! ¨New temple in Bahia Blanca Arg.¨ I'm going to stand up wherever I am, put my hands in the air and scream! Then start doing the Charleston hahaha that will be a great day...luke 1:37 :)

Thanks for the pics. Didn't do really good with getting investigators to church. Alicia was the only one that showed up and she could only stay for 30 min. I wish they could have all come because it would have helped them a ton! It just hurts me that they weren't there ugh. But oh well, today's a new day!

I am felling better. I was a little achy, more kinda just tired. I didn't even work out this last week cuz i needed to reserve my strength for the day.
Remember how I said it was like 80 last Monday? Well, it's been pretty much kinda cold since. haha It rained like crazy one day, it was Wednesday, I think, and we had a zone leader with us also for the day cuz his comp went to another area for business. We taught a really good lesson to this mid 20 yr old named Gabriela. We were outside about 4 or 5ish. Then as we were going home it started to rain. We got home, got our jackets, then went out again. We went under a big tree for a little bit cuz it was just pouring!! Then we saw this lightening brightly go and like a second later or less a big boom like a canon went off! I wasn't as freaked out as I have been before about lightening cuz I feel protected and I know I am on a mission, but I still was freaking out hahaha. Lightening and thunder are my weakness hahaha.

Espñ is doing alright, still there. I have talked to people a little more. It's still one of my weaknesses. I'm trying though. My comp and I are starting now to only talk in espñ in the streets. No english, so i know that will help me a ton!!!
How's lucy!!? Still walking her?!!

Today we went to Centro. Centro is a place that like 99% of cities. It's like downtown slc with stores, footlocker type stores. Just everything. I love it cuz there's a ton of little stores that are awesome!! Lets just say you guys (6 fam members) would go crazy (mainly girls) here especially you girls. I saw a store full of purses and girl shoes, and they aren't like payless shoes. There are some fancy designs that I've never seen! And it's awesome how everything here, compared to the us dollar is cheaper! Like 100 peso shoes are $25. Now think of nice shoes for 100 dollars in us and you can get them for 25 us dollars here. haha It's awesome!! You guys would love it! Went to ¨El Superclasico¨ which is a store with tons of Soccer 90 % and 10 % bball. I know for sure the Holdstocks would go insane in there. They have everything, Messi jerseys, Ronaldo jerseys, other jerseys, socks, shorts and just random memorabilia. I was looking at a Bball section and what did I find? A Favring Manu Ginobili Argentina jersey!!!! no. 5! I did buy it. It cost 90 pesos which is about 35 us dollars. Not bad I say! So that was kinda my christmas gift! haha

Our investigators aren't really moving much. We just need to keep being persistent with investigators like Luis and Adrian. Alicia is probably closest to bapt.
The music in general conference (for espñ was in English, like Mo Tab). Saw Bro. Poulson aww yeah.
That's sweet Soelbergs is done. Can they change it to Soulbergs lol. Yeah it's nice here. If you want fresh bread you can go kitty corner and buy some. If you need basically anything, you can walk to a little store called Kiosco´s and they have like all your necessities. Ham, cheese, pretty much anything.

I love you all. I know this church is true and no one, no thing, nothing can change my mind. There are so many evidences that this church is true. Why would any one die for a religion if it wasnt true, like Joseph Smith. If you've ever read the Book of Mormon with real intent, you know without a doubt its true. Your life begins to change. You feel peaceful and happier. I know God is real and his son, Jesus Christ, is our savior and I know that we are never alone. Our Father in Heaven loves us with a perfect knowledge!!!

Luke 1:37 imma see the temple called here :)
