Wow Alyssa's bout to graduate. Good job! Now you can retire from school and just chill. What are your plans after school?

We almost have gas. haha We're still waiting for the papers and everything from the office in Bahia. After a while you get used to cold water. I'll do a challenge for u guys. When u wake up only use cold water hahaha! But really its not that bad after a while. Pretty funny if anything.

Another thing Pres has us do is try and work with the families that are incomplete with members. Like maybe some brother isn't baptized. We talked with 2 this week. Yesterday we talked with a dad. He has 2 girls who are baptized and his wife is too, but he's, ¨its not my time.¨ It was a different kinda lesson with them cuz he's like, "Ya I've heard the lessons. I know everything. I know it's TRUE, but its not my time." Also he's only around like Sunday nights, so its not like we can talk to him everyday. And also he's like, "I dont want to be pressured into baptism." So I was like hmm how am I goin to teach a guy not really a lesson without making him feel pressured and still get my point across that we need to baptize him? I don't remember much what I said, but after comp was like, "Dang that was gr8 what you said." I just said kinda whatever came to my head. I remember talkin about the BOM and how baptism isn't a number for us, cuz your a son of God. And it was like I had in my head I can't just share a scripture and not do my duty and invite all to come to Christ. We'll baptize him. His name Javier Franco.

Also, there is a lady. Her mom is member, but less active. (I'll teach you to say less active in espñ menos activo cuz I know I'll say it lol.)
And we taught her and she wants to get baptized. We just need to get them to church. She's assisted in the past and so she can get baptized faster than a normal investigator. With the rule to baptize each week we're lookin for ways to do it cuz God doesn't give us a commandment we can't do. So there has to be some1 out there who we can baptize. Mirian is doing good. It's been hard to teach her cuz we can't enter her house if no man's home and people don't like to stand in cold haha. It's been a weird thing, the last few weeks we can't find our investigators ha it's weird. We go by when they say to haha but nothin. We're finding good haha but that 2nd time around they're just not home. But we'll find them.

I almost cried when I heard D rose got hurt! ugh! It's a myth to me. I don't believe it! haha

I need to send you guys fotos. I think it'll work today cuz we're in a different place.

Comps doin good. Kinda has USA blues. Like where's peanut butter? Why is that dog barking? hahaha But he's funny, but it El es un Capo.
I do have him carry everything for me cuz he's a rookie. I even have him brush my teeth for me haha jk.
We do live pretty far from our area mom. idk why haha. I think its probably cuz its cheeper. At times we run home to make it on time, to be exactly obedient. It's fun.

Mom idk where the vitamins are that you said i have. What do they look like? haha
I have broken out some hoodies (I mean sweater lol) and jacket. They say its FREEZING here cuz its so humid.

haha yesterday we went to a menos activos house and she like, "I know I know I need to go to church!" They're really cool people and funny. And she says she needs to read better from BOM and so I've always wanted to do this challenge to some 1 ha, so I was like, "Ok you and your hubby when we leave your challenge is to read for 10 min. Don't do anything else. Just don't move til you read. haha They were like, "ok ok" ha.

We have a table!

Good day everyone

Yeaaaahhhh Vvvvvvvvvvvv that's watsup! Congrats on being pres. Presidenta Roberto! Yes that's awesome! So does that mean you can have recess in jr high?  haha jk grt8 job you'll do awesome!!

We have a table!! 2 haha also yesterday some of the members in the ward of the other mish we live with, came to our house and gave us a lil oven thing with gas just so we can have something warm haha. So we can cook eggs now and food. That's bout it. That's all we have. I'm like 60 % we'll get everything this week or warm gas lol. But it's all good. You kinda get used to it. It's not that bad.

We talked with one of our investigators called Mirian and she said she read the part we gave her and she loved it and prayed and she felt good. That was exciting for us. For some reason we couldn't find our inv this week or most of them. Kinda weird thing, but we're still working. We did go to the university area and it's like 80% all field in that area hahaha. We kept expecting to find more houses but nothin haha. There are richer houses with long gaps for neighbors.

A goal that we have for a mish is to baptize every week and also a goal b4 pres leaves is to get 220 bapt in a month. Pres. Detlefsen is an awesome guy! His letters are gr8 too. He sent one today about patience in our afflictions and staying strong so we can deserve the blessings that God has in store for us. At times we have problems that we don't understand but they're trials from God to help us grow and be better.

The weather is gettin a lil cold. I'm not to worried bout it cuz there's no snow. It's not winter without snow, so I'm enjoying it haha.
Dad, it does feel more like college football season here. It's weird.

The members are good in our area haha. Like 95 % of the members live below the route where the other elders live, so we see our members only at church, except for a few. We are going to have them work with us. You just have to run with what you've got.

My comp is doing gr8. His espñ is good for his time. He's a good elder. I would send fotos but idk how to.  haha

I'll just talk more bout pres cuz i don't have much other stuff lol. He always tells us to be 100% obedient and 100% diligent. It's a good challenge that he has for us. And i love how he always says we'll see miracles when we do it and its defiantly true cuz hes not just saying this stuff to say it. It's all inspired.

That's good to hear Lucy is a healthy sr citizen dog. Keep walkin her and stuff. That stinks that she's blind, but take care of her!

Second Week in Tandil. Living the dream, nbd haha

So yeah, I'm in Tandil, doin work, livin the dream, nbd haha.

It's definitely a different experience working pretty much from the ground up. This area use to be in other missionaries area, but I don't think they worked here much haha. Cuz our area book is skinny. So I'm diggin the "make your own path" thing. We have talked to some people and they were like, ¨I've talked to you guys b4, but you didn't really come back.¨ haha But we're doing good here. Comp is a capo. I don't know how he does it but he can understand well and talk good. He's blessed with the gift of tongues. He's playing like he has 3 or 4 months in the mish. He's funny too. It's funny, at times we'll be lookin at the map a lot in the streets cuz we don't know our way around.

We still have about as much as we did last week, as utilities and stuff go. We were waiting for the money. I think the banks or something weren't open for a while cuz of the Easter vacations. So we finally have money. Elder Koeven and Elder Shreeve went to go buy bunkbeds today and I think a thing to clean our clothes. As far as tables, spoons, forks, etc, haha nada. But we're maintaining lol. We have money now so we'll buy stuff this week.

The members are cool. The thing is that most of the areas live in the other part where they split off this area cuz we work above the route and the other elders in our church and most members, live below the route. But whatever, we'll just have to catch up so we can have equal amount haha. Training is fun. It makes you have to do a lot of things, which is good. This week the weather has been gr8! The other day, it was funny, we had to run home in the sprinkling rain. Our house is a 20 minute walk to our area haha. It's cool, we live behind a kiosco/lil store. So we can get stuff soon. Like a 20 sec walk.

The investigators are cool. We started with 0 investigators in our area, haha, cuz I don't think they worked up here much. But now we have some and they are doin good. A cool thing I was thinkin about the other day, about teaching in a different language, is that sometimes the only words you know how to say are bold. Not like crazy bold haha, but not being soft with investigator cuz we have the word of God and we can't just tell them it's a good idea to join the church, but that there is only one true church on this earth.

I think this week we are goin to work by the university cuz we still haven't gone that far in our area. In our area there is like a rugby field and like dirt hockey. It's a kinda spread out area, but its all good. All of our street names are like a tree name. Like oak, pine, cedar etc.

In our mish there are like 3 Elder Roberts´, I think, and one Robertson. So we are slowly taking over the mish. So if you send something to me make sure it says Elder Reginald Roberts haha. I got a letter from somebody in Wisconsin for elder roberts. I thought it was my boy brandon jennings. I was so excited until I realized it was for seth roberts hahaha.

Keep goin good, working hard. So will I. Keep smiling and do what Pres. Monson says, "Look UP!"

Transfered to Tandil, Training & My Bday

Dang what a crazy week! I don't even know where to start. Ok, actually I do.
I'll start Tuesday on Alyssa's Bday.

Tues: so it was a normal day. Had district meeting in the morning, then
went on divisions or splits. I went with my homeboy Elder Muñoz, my amigo,
from Olavarria. And so you know we're walkin, doin work. Then he gets a phone
call and puts his hand up in the air to give me a high 5. And he's
like, "Your going to be training a new missionary and serving in
Tandil!" .....Say what Penny Proud?? I was like, "For real? What time do I
leave?" "Tonite at 12:30," he said. hahahaha So after a few hours of work we
went back to my house and I packed for the bus ride to go to Bahia
Blanca to get a brand spankin new fresh out of the US of A. haha But we
had a cool story going to the terminal or bus station at night. So I
was packing and pretty much ready and just waitin for Elder Himebaugh cuz
he was packin. Then he's like, "Ooh dang, its like 12 am," cuz he lost time
haha and I was waiting an waiting lol and the bus leaves at 12:30 and
it's like 45 to 40 min to the station. So we find a taxi in the street
and at that time it was 12:20 haha. Comp said to the taxi driver we need to be at the
terminal and he's like ok I'll do my best. Also, we had to stop by the
house of Elder Muñoz to get my backpack that I left there cuz of
divisions, so this taxi guy is floorin it and I'm like, "This is sweet!"
haha This has to be the taxi drivers dream. We called the other elders
on the bus if they could like tell some jokes to the bus driver and to
stall lol. So we ended up getting on the bus like at 12:35 am. It was like
a miracle. Pretty sweet! That taxi driver deserves to be in the taxi
hall of fame haha... Also, bcuz of the short time I had to say goodbye.
I said bye to Estevan Bassaga, his sis Patricia and her fam and the fam
below us. They were all sad. And we took pics. Ugh, that was pretty
hard cuz I think Patricia and her fam got bapt yesterday. But oh well,
just let it roll. We, me and like 7 other elders from Mar del, went to
Bahia and arrived like at 6:30 am on April 4th. Then we waited for our new
comps and when they did the big announcement with the trainers on one
side and rookies on the other, they showed my pic, and pic of Tandil,
your comp is  ..Elder Templeton. But he wasn't there cuz he was like one of
4 missionaries who actually said goodbye to his district in the mtc
bcuz he didn't have a visa until like 2hrs after the other
missionaries left for Argy. I think he would've served in SLC til he
got his visa so that was why they called me to train Tuesday cuz they
didn't know if they'd be coming or not. So we (me and 3 other
missionaries) with Pres and his wife and daughter stayed at the airport in
Bahia until they got off. So they got off and went to the office
until our bus left at 8:30 at nite. Then we took that and arrived in
Tandil at like 2 in the morning. We are living with Elder Koeven from
SLC UT and Elder Shreeve from Girlsie Idaho. haha He's actually the
missionary that Elder Stewart trained right after I left. So he took my
spot there. We are living in a brand brand new house. The mission signed
the contract on Apr 1st so it's way new. So new that we have nothing in
the house haha. Except 4 bed mattresses in one room and 4 chairs that we
took from the church and cold water haha. That is all we have. It's great
haha the shower doesn't even work cuz we have to wait til we pay for it
and we get the money, I think, like 13th haha. We don't have hot water, a
fridge, table, shelves nothin hahaha. It's so cool. It's one of those funny
sweet experiences on the mish. Now I'll tell you a lil bout Tandil. If you
look at Olavarria on the map, where i started, then go right diagonally
you'll hit Mar del Plata. Tandil is right in between those two. So my areas
are all in a diagonal. Pretty cool! This area used to be in the area of
other missionaries in Tandil 1A. We're Tandil 1B. They split their area
and now we're here. The missionaries we live with are in Tandil 3 haha.
They aren't even in our district. Tandil, to tell you how cool it is, people
from Mar del Plata come here to vacation. It's a beautiful area and
actually has the 2nd biggest statue of Jesus on the cross in the
world. I saw a lil today of it. It also has a famous big rock that
balances on another. Also, it has mountains, pretty weird. All that stuff
isn't in our area, but not to far. We do have a university that, I guess,
is a pretty good one in Tandil in our area. My comp is from Sandy and
actually went to school with Elder Himebaugh. Small world. My bday was
goood. It was my 1st day in Tandil (dang I was soo close to spending a
bday in MDP) but, yeah, it was good.  It was sweet, you know how I
said I only got one package? While I was at the office in Bahia, I was
lookin at the mail and I saw 2 packages for Elder Roberts."Thank you very much, I'll
take that." And like 2 bday cards from gma merlyn y chalo y mom and dad
and like 3 dear elders from Alyssa. So I ended up with all my packages
that you sent me. Thank you sooooo much. Now that I'm 20, doesn't that mean I'm on
the down hill of my life? hahahaha jk ¨Mohammed Ali¨aww (Wheaties) yeah that was
gr8. Thx for everything. I also needed that tooth brush cuz my lil
bathroom bag got left on the taxi, but he returned it to the house of
Elder Muñoz and I'll get it Tues night. So I needed that toothbrush lol.
hmmm what else? Yeah it's pretty sweet coming into and area ¨blind¨
where me and comp know nothin bout it. We have to walk like 20 min to get
into our area from our house. On the way we pass a like horse race
field. Maybe we can get the Kentucky Derby here.

Don't have much time. I would tell you if Pat y her kids got baptized, but idk.
It was pretty hard to say goodbye to them and the fam below us in MDP. It was
fun. Peace out, I'll see you another day. I found me a lil Mike Jackson fan.
A 9 yr old in our branch. We were at his house and i heard
¨Oooooooooooowww¨ Mj style ¨Say what? Is that mj?¨ He now thinks I'm
awesome and someday I'm a teach him the moon walk.ç

Well, I'll let this letter blow your mind and let it soothe in time to
serve and figure out where the heck I'm at in Tandil lol.

Watching Conference in Argentina!

Hello ladies y gentlemen

Conference was a grand ol fun. I love it! I didn't watch priesthood in
english...or in spanish haha. The place where we were watching conf
didn't do taping for priesthood haha. Pretty funny. So I'll be lookin for
the magazine in a few months.

I really liked Pres. Eyring's talk about like building a foundation of
faith and I liked how he related it to building a building. I did love
Pres. Packer's talk bout the lil kids. Being in a foreign country you do
see a lil bit of what he said and its always tuff to see people without
jobs etc. I may not even eat lunch tomorrow. To see kids, thats always
hard, you just want to give them everything you have. It makes you feel really
lucky in your life. But I just have to give them what I got.

The family below us, they came to conf, the very last session. And it was cool how the talks were about fam and marriage. They really liked that (they need to get married haha). Oh b4
I forget, I didn't get transferred. Still in Antartida (antarctica) MDP.
We will be talking bout marriage soon with them. That'll be sweet to
see a wedding. One of the daughters just turned 8, so she and her
older sis can get bapt after next Sunday. Maybe to show their parents
how it is. Then after the parents get married and quit smoking, we can
bapt them. They're such a gr8 family! We'd always pass by them (b4) and say
hi and the lil girls would always give us handshakes. And I've always
wanted to talk with them. And who knows how many missionaries never talked
with them, cuz they were kinda like ¨friends¨ of the missionaries. Then
like 3 weeks ago it was like 8:40 at nite and we had like nothin to do. I was
thinkin thinkn who can we pass by ¨ding¨ the fam below us! It was kinda
funny cuz comp and I were like hmm what do we say at there door cuz it
was kinda like a funny weird situation. I think I was like, "Hey, can we
just talk to you guys?" "Yeah please come in." And now they're one of our best
investigators! It's really gr8 that we live so close cuz they don't go a day
without seeing us or thinkin bout the church. So the church is always on
their mind. I'm glad Heavenly Father made time for us that one day.

Can you talk some more bout priesthood next email? haha

We're planning to bapt Patricia, Abril y Sofia this Sunday.
Just like March Madness the best comes in April (champ game, their baptism haha).
We're going to pass by a ton of members this week cuz Abril needs
some friends in the church cuz she was kinda like, ¨Eh, I don't want
bapt.¨ So we're really going to try to make her feel loved from the
members, especially the girls & youth in our ward.
Talked with Monica the other day. She has tons of work and her schedule
is weird so we're still workin with her.

hmm my bday is this week. I did receive one package from Roberts Residence, so
gracias for that. My plans are to sing happy bday the whole day
without taking a stop haha. jk I'll probably open up the gift when we are
doing weekly planning in the morning. Dang I'm almost 20. Lived 20 yrs
longer then expected haha. yeah yeah Alyssa 22 happy cumpleaños and
wow you're almost graduated. What next in your life? You can register for
school again, dress up like a boy and call yourself Reggie and go thru
school for me jaja. jk I'm actually starting to like to learn, but I won't
admit it haha. jk Just like I think Elder Nelson said, "Better education,
the better future."

Don't have much time. Comp is a good guy, to answer dad's q. Except he
likes the favring cougarzz ugh. I did convince the Bishop's daughter
to like the utes. and he put 2 more check marks for the utes
please haha (we did service and I had my utes sweater on). The trees are
starting to have color.

New transfer. Time to dominate. Thanks for prayers and all. Keep it up.
